Initial situation
For strategic reasons, the customer is considering a company-wide switch from Microsoft database systems to products from Oracle. The previously Microsoft-supported Persis software is to be moved to an Oracle system.
Tasks
- Analysis of the initial situation on the Microsoft SQL server and identification of potentially incompatible program code.
- Correction of the identified program parts and execution of the migration to the Oracle system
- Implementation of a hypercare phase and refactoring of report data sources to increase maintainability and improve runtime
Customer benefits
- Due to the lower license costs for the customer, a benefit is achieved both directly in monetary terms and indirectly through the improvement of the SQL in the data sources in the form of maintenance and expansion work that can be carried out more quickly in the future.
